Oι απολογητές της πατριαρχίας όχι μόνο νοσταλγούν ένα παρελθόν που δεν έχουμε ιδέα αν υπήρξε ποτέ, αλλά παραδέχονται και ανοιχτά πως θα προτιμούσαν να μπορούν να βιάζουν γυναίκες αντί να αλληλεπιδρούν μαζί. Σοβαρά τώρα, γιατί ο βιασμός κάνει κάποιον περισσότερο άντρα? Και γιατί είναι κάτι άξιο θαυμασμού?
Η φυσικοποίηση αυτή του βιασμού ως κάτι που ήταν στην φύση του άντρα αλλά τον καταπίεσε ο νόμος και ο πολιτισμός, είναι η βάση της κουλτούρας του βιασμού που βλέπει τον άντρα ως έναν πάντα εν δυνάμει βίαιο βιαστή που θα προχωρήσει την πράξη αν βρει την κατάλληλη δικαιολογία οι τις κατάλληλες συνθήκες.
